Store name generator

A good store name is short, easy to say, easy to spell, and hard to confuse with anyone else. Two words or fewer wins most of the time. If a customer hears it once on a podcast and can type it into a browser, it works.

It should also leave room to grow. "Brooklyn Candle Co." boxes you into candles and Brooklyn. "Ember & Oak" can sell candles today and ceramics next year. Descriptive names rank a little faster in search; invented names build a stronger brand. Most successful stores sit in the middle: one real word that hints at the category, one that carries the mood.

Compound: two concrete words joined together (Everlane, Warby Parker). Modifier + noun: an adjective that sets the mood plus the thing you sell (Wild Roots, Quiet Studio). Invented: a word that does not exist yet but sounds like it should (Glossier, Allbirds). Founder-led: your name plus a category word, which works for handmade and jewelry brands where the maker is the story.

The generator above mixes all four so you can see which style fits your category. Ask it for a specific tone if the first batch feels off: "minimal and Scandinavian", "bold streetwear", "cozy and handmade".

The .com check here uses public DNS: if nobody has pointed the domain anywhere, it is very likely unregistered. Confirm with a registrar before you print anything. Then search the name on Instagram, TikTok and your national trademark office. A free .com with a taken @handle is a daily annoyance; a trademark conflict is a legal one.

Finally, say it out loud to three people and ask them to spell it. If two of them get it wrong, keep looking.
