Every fee Etsy charges on one sale

A $0.20 listing fee is charged per listing, when it's created and again each time it renews, every four months or immediately when it sells and auto-renews. It's a flat fee, not a percentage of the sale.

On top of that, Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price and whatever you charge for shipping, not just the item. Etsy Payments then charges its own processing fee, 3% + $0.25 per transaction for US sellers, deducted separately from the transaction fee.

The offsite ads fee

If Etsy shows your listing in one of its own offsite ads and that ad leads to a sale, Etsy charges an additional 15% fee on the full order total. It only applies to orders that came through an offsite ad, not every sale.

Stack all of it together and a typical Etsy sale without offsite ads runs close to 10 to 12% in combined fees before you count your own shipping and material costs.
